Tour to India

Faridabad
When Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj is in Delhi, India, as he is for part of every winter, he travels to many cities and towns outside the city. On the evening of February 16, he went to the industrial town of Faridabad, near Delhi, to give satsang, a spiritual discourse. Speaking before an audience of 20,000, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj took verses from the Sant Surdas Ji to explain the spiritual path. He said God loves all His creation equally, and meditation is a process through which we can unfold the treasure of divinity within ourselves.

Chennai & Bangalore
On the evening of February 21st, he left for a five-day tour of Chennai and Bangalore. In Cheenai, before a capacity crowd, the spiritual leader discoursed on verses from the great saint, Kabir Sahib. In a talk, "Science and Spirituality," Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj explained that spirituality is the most supreme science because it answers the questions: Who are we, what is our purpose in life, and where do we go when we physically die? He said whereas scientists are concerned with the material world, spirituality deals with the astral, causal, super-causal, and purely spiritual worlds. Afterward, he was interviewed by a television reporter who, deeply impressed by the talk, said that faith based on scientific fact should certainly be welcomed by the world.

The following day, in his talk "Spiritual Science," the spiritual Master said spirituality is the process by which our soul attains communion with God through meditation on the divine Light and Sound of God. He also talked about helping factors on the spiritual path: ethical living, attending satsang (spiritual programs), and engaging in selfless service.

On February 24th, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj traveled to Bangalore, the Garden City of India. His talk, "The Art of Meditation," was held at a local college and was based on the verses of Sant Dadu Sahib Ji. He said the path of the saints is based on personal experience of the inner Light and Sound of God that can be had through meditation. Books and scriptures cannot give this experience. God resides in the temple of the human body, created by God, and not in the temples or churches made by human hands. Following this, the spiritual leader released Tamil language translations of Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj's books, Wheel of Life and Morning Talks, Sant Darshan Singh Ji Maharaj's booklet, “How to Derive Maximum Benefit at the Feet of the Master,” as well as his own talks, “Meditation for Everyone” and "The Presidential Address to the 16th International Human Unity Conference."

On Friday, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj spoke at a medical college on "Medication through Meditation." He told the students how fortunate they are to have chosen such a noble profession. He said when you wish others to be blessed; you will yourself feel serene and happy and will contribute to a peaceful world. He then said the antidote to all mental, emotional, and physical pains was the Holy Word, Naam, or Kalma, which created the universe and resides in all of us. In the evening, the spiritual leader gave satsang based on the hymn of the woman saint, Mira Bai, "Healing through Meditation." Speaking in English, he said if we have a sincere desire to find God, then we will surely find Him. Over six billion people are living in this world, he remarked, but only a few are interested in true reality.

Janakpuri
On March 9th, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj went to Janakpuri in West Delhi Colony where, in a spirit of unity and appreciation, representatives of the area’s temple, church, mosque, and gurudwara welcomed him. Here, the program opened with verses by Guru Arjan Dev Ji. Speaking before 20,000 people, the spiritual leader described three types of people: those who live their life without thinking about the Lord; those who make spiritual progress through meditation on the inner Light and Sound of God, conquering death by rising above physical body-consciousness; and the saints or mystics themselves. Later, he said whereas earthly birth comprises a downward journey for the soul, spiritual birth through the holy Word begins the soul's upward journey back to the lap of God.

Jahangirabad
Wherever Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj goes, huge crowds rush to see him. Such was the case during his one-day visit to Jahangirabad, on March 16. Although only a few hours from Delhi, the village is so remote that no paved road reaches it. Nevertheless, over 60,000 from seventy neighboring villages attended the program. Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj explained the importance of meditation and contacting the inner Light and Sound of God within. The treasure of divine love, he said, is more thrilling than any earthly love.
