On Sunday, May 2nd, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj’s spiritual discourse (satsang) was broadcast live to over 71 centers worldwide. Its subject was the importance of sweet words. The verse the spiritual leader spoke about was: “I have weighed sweetness of all kinds, but the sweetest of all is the sweetness of the tongue.” Harsh words, he explained, tie us to the wheel of transmigration, but sweet words are a reflection of God's love. He emphasized that the antidote to all unhappiness is not material possessions; instead, it is sweetness and love.

Mother's Day

A special Mother's Day discourse and celebration was held at the Science of Spirituality Center in Naperville, Illinois on Sunday, May 9th. Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj spoke about three different types of mothers whom we should thank: first, he said, we need to give thanks to our physical mothers for giving us birth and caring for us; next, we need to give thanks to Mother Nature for sustaining our lives. He then explained that God is also our mother. Like a good parent, God gives our soul freedom to explore creation, but God is anxiously waiting for us to return to our eternal Home.

Talk in Waukegan

Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj On Sunday, May 16th, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj spoke in Waukegan, Illinois, a city located thirty miles north of Chicago. His talk, entitled "Spiritual Peace and Bliss," was translated into Spanish for the large Latin-American community. He spoke on the universal need to find happiness and peace. They are elusive to us, he explained, because we do not know where to look for them. Everything that we want already resides within ourselves, but we are caught up living our life in the world of illusion. However, once we connect with the divine power within ourselves, the happiness we achieve is more than anything this world can offer. He closed by saying that God's grace is always there to lift us up from the physical to the divine.

Program in Delhi, India

Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj arrived at Kirpal Ashram in Delhi, India, In the early morning hours of May 29 and was welcomed by a large group of people from India and abroad.

On the evening of May 30th thousands of people gathered at Kirpal Bagh in honor of Sant Darshan Singh Ji Maharaj who physically parted from this world fifteen years ago. After welcoming the thousands of people who had come from all parts of India and abroad, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj spoke about the life and teachings of Sant Darshan Singh Ji Maharaj, known as the poet-saint of India. He was a lord of compassion, the spiritual Master explained, devoting his entire life to the spiritual upliftment of everyone who came in contact with him. This talk, given in Hindi and English, was broadcast via the internet to satsang centers throughout the world.

Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj To honor Sant Darshan Singh Ji Maharaj’s memory, chabils, stalls for free distribution of sweet water had been set up at thirty-one prominent locations throughout Delhi and other Indian states. This refreshing drink (sharbat) was enjoyed by thousands of people.

In cooperation with the Indian Red Cross Society, a blood donation camp was organized at Kirpal Bagh. Upon visiting the site, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj thanked the team of doctors, nurses, and volunteers for their service, saying donating blood is noble and selfless because it has the power to save precious lives. The spiritual leader also donated a large number of medical aids and appliances - wheelchairs, sewing machines, and tricycles - to the Safdarjung Hospital.
