Plus de 1,7 million d&rsquo;Am\u00e9ricains meurent de ces maladies chaque ann\u00e9e. \u00c0 elles seules, les maladies cardiaques sont responsables de 610 000 d\u00e9c\u00e8s, ce qui en fait la premi\u00e8re cause de mortalit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Bien que la g\u00e9n\u00e9tique puisse jouer un r\u00f4le dans le d\u00e9veloppement de ces maladies, il s&rsquo;agit principalement de maladies li\u00e9es au mode de vie.<\/p>\n<p>Le <strong>Dr Kunwarjit Singh Duggal<\/strong>, sp\u00e9cialiste reconnu de la m\u00e9decine physique et de la r\u00e9habilitation, auteur renomm\u00e9 et conf\u00e9rencier international, explique que si nous choisissons la bonne fa\u00e7on de manger et de bouger, nous pouvons pr\u00e9venir le d\u00e9veloppement et la progression des maladies chroniques. En outre, un r\u00e9gime \u00e0 base de plantes peut faciliter et renforcer la capacit\u00e9 inn\u00e9e de gu\u00e9rison du corps humain.<\/p>\n<p>Une interview du Dr Duggal a \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9e dans Natural Awakenings avant son discours au Veggie Fest 2019 dans la r\u00e9gion de Chicago. En voici un extrait :<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Quel est le r\u00f4le de l&rsquo;alimentation dans la m\u00e9decine <\/em><em>?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Aux \u00c9tats-Unis, la premi\u00e8re cause de mortalit\u00e9 est la maladie cardiovasculaire, et il ne fait aucun doute qu&rsquo;elle est due \u00e0 l&rsquo;alimentation. La g\u00e9n\u00e9tique joue sans aucun doute un r\u00f4le, mais les aliments que nous mangeons ont un impact consid\u00e9rable sur notre sant\u00e9. L&rsquo;hypertension art\u00e9rielle, le diab\u00e8te et l&rsquo;hypercholest\u00e9rol\u00e9mie sont les maladies chroniques les plus courantes auxquelles sont confront\u00e9s les Am\u00e9ricains et qui r\u00e9sultent toutes d&rsquo;une mauvaise alimentation.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;hypercholest\u00e9rol\u00e9mie provoque des blocages dans le c\u0153ur, ce qui peut entra\u00eener une crise cardiaque, des blocages dans le cerveau, ce qui peut entra\u00eener un accident vasculaire c\u00e9r\u00e9bral, et des blocages dans les jambes ou les bras. En fait, il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;une seule et m\u00eame chose, qui provient de notre alimentation.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Que peut-on faire au quotidien ?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>La question de la sant\u00e9 est la suivante : Faisons-nous, en tant que soci\u00e9t\u00e9, les bons choix ? La plupart de nos maladies chroniques sont des maladies li\u00e9es au mode de vie. La premi\u00e8re question que nous devons nous poser est de savoir quel type de carburant nous introduisons dans notre corps. Si notre alimentation est de mauvaise qualit\u00e9, nous ne pouvons pas nous attendre \u00e0 ce que notre corps fasse grand-chose. Nous devons r\u00e9\u00e9valuer nos choix alimentaires et nous orienter vers des aliments vrais et complets plut\u00f4t que vers des aliments transform\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Le deuxi\u00e8me aspect est l&rsquo;activit\u00e9. Nous sommes une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9dentaire. Nous sommes souvent assis et nous devons donc bouger et \u00eatre physiquement actifs. La s\u00e9dentarit\u00e9 est le nouveau tabagisme. Il est plus facile de pr\u00e9venir les probl\u00e8mes de notre corps physique que de les r\u00e9soudre par la suite.
