Heeft het alleen invloed op ons op emotioneel niveau of brengen we onszelf lichamelijk letsel toe als we toegeven aan boosheid? Hoe kunnen we loskomen uit haar greep en wat zijn de voordelen hiervan?<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Omgaan met een universeel probleem<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-13768 \" src=\"https:\/\/www.sos.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/If-someone-has-hurt-us-sm-450x450.jpg\" alt=\"Anger-meditation-Rajinder-Singh\" width=\"314\" height=\"305\" \/>We kunnen aannemen dat we allemaal door het leven gaan met een of ander incident dat we niet leuk vinden of dat ons pijn doet. Iemand heeft ons op de een of andere manier onrecht aangedaan. Misschien heeft iemand iets gezegd om onze gevoelens te kwetsen of heeft iemand ons lichamelijk gekwetst. Iemand heeft misschien iets van ons afgepakt. Misschien heeft iemand ons bedrogen of gelogen. Iemand die we vertrouwden, heeft dat vertrouwen misschien geschaad. Macht, positie of rijkdom kunnen van ons zijn afgenomen. Er is altijd een hoofdoorzaak van een probleem tussen twee mensen.<\/p>\n<h2>Onze eerste reactie<\/h2>\n<p>Wat gebeurt er dan? We zijn van streek, worden gekwetst, ge\u00efrriteerd en boos. We denken na over wat er is gebeurd. We vinden het niet leuk en we kunnen het niet vergeten en moeten er steeds weer aan denken. We kunnen er zelfs herhaaldelijk over praten met ofwel de persoon die ons pijn heeft gedaan of met anderen. Sommige mensen die minder controle over zichzelf hebben, kunnen lichamelijk een klap uitdelen naar die persoon of kunnen hun woede op iemand anders uiten.<\/p>\n<h2>Hoe onze geest het probleem escaleert<\/h2>\n<p>Terwijl het incident escaleert, merken we dat onze gedachten en woorden bezig zijn met het verhelpen van de situatie. Sommige mensen zullen proberen het probleem vreedzaam op te lossen door erover te praten met de persoon waarvan zij vinden dat die hun onrecht heeft aangedaan. Soms proberen we dat, maar wil de ander niet naar verandering luisteren. Dan vinden we dat we iets drastischer moeten doen.<\/p>\n<p>Dit leidt tot vergelding of wraak. We beginnen na te denken over manieren om de persoon die ons pijn heeft gedaan terug te pakken, of we denken na over manieren om wraak te nemen. We willen gerechtigheid. Onze geest weigert te vergeten wat er is gebeurd totdat we wraak nemen.<\/p>\n<p>Op basis van dat ene incident cre\u00ebren we dus uiteindelijk meer scenario&#8217;s en situaties als reactie. De andere persoon kan dan bij ons terugkomen voor vergelding. We hebben onze gemoedsrust verloren. Het eerste incident heeft misschien een paar ogenblikken of een paar uur of een dag geduurd, maar we hebben nu honderden uren en ontelbare dagen besteed aan het herhalen van wat er gebeurde en denken na over hoe we wraak kunnen nemen.<\/p>\n<p>In het proces zijn de kostbare momenten van ons leven verspild. In plaats van onze aandacht te richten op wat ons kan helpen, hebben we de tijd verspild met het opnieuw afspelen van een slechte film. Daardoor verliezen we meer dan de persoon op wie we onze woede richten.<\/p>\n<p>Als iemand ons pijn heeft gedaan, kunnen we ervoor kiezen om te vergeven en te vergeten of we kunnen ervoor kiezen om wraak te nemen. De keuze is aan ons.<\/p>\n<h2>Wraak schaadt je lichaam<\/h2>\n<p>We berokkenen onszelf lichamelijk letsel als we verstrikt raken in boosheid, haat en wraak. Deze gevoelens veroorzaken schade aan het lichaam.<\/p>\n<p>Er zijn bepaalde reacties in het fysieke lichaam die zijn gemaakt om zichzelf te helpen beschermen om de soort te behouden. Wanneer een levend wezen gevaar voelt, zijn er bepaalde hormonale en chemische reacties in het lichaam die het helpen om op gevaar te reageren. Deze hormonen zorgen ervoor dat iemand gaat vechten of vluchten. Ze zijn nuttig om het lichaam kracht te geven en snelle fysieke reacties te geven, zoals hardlopen of zichzelf beschermen. Dit verandert in woede of razernij.We worden boos over situaties die ons leven niet bedreigen. Dit zorgt ervoor dat het lichaam hormonen laat circuleren die nodig zijn om te rennen of zichzelf te beschermen in kleine situaties die deel uitmaken van het dagelijks leven. Omdat deze hormonen, zoals cortisol, door ons circuleren wanneer we ze niet nodig hebben, veroorzaken ze schade.<\/p>\n<p>We weten bijvoorbeeld dat cortison bijwerkingen heeft op het lichaam, dus artsen raden aan om het voorzichtig te gebruiken. Het natuurlijke cortisol van het lichaam circuleert echter, wanneer we boos zijn of onder stress staan, door ons heen en veroorzaakt stressgerelateerde aandoeningen. Als iemand voortdurend in die staat van angst, boosheid of stress verkeert, veroorzaken die hormonen een afbraak van andere lichaamsweefsels. Zo worden stressgerelateerde aandoeningen veroorzaakt, zoals spijsverteringsproblemen, hoofdpijn, hartproblemen, huidproblemen en ademhalingsproblemen.<\/p>\n<h2>Vergeving is het antwoord<\/h2>\n<blockquote>\n<p>De oplossing om het lichaam te beschermen tegen de hormonen die vrijkomen door haat, woede en wraak, is simpel: vergeving. Alleen door vergeving kunnen we onszelf kalmeren en de reacties van haat en geweld vermijden.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Een techniek om vergeving te ontwikkelen is meditatie. De problemen van het leven zullen niet verdwijnen. Door meditatie kunnen we onze aandacht echter richten op de innerlijke vrede, zodat we boven de moeilijkheden van het leven kunnen uitstijgen.<\/p>\n<h2>Meditatie kan tot vergeving leiden<\/h2>\n<p>Door meditatie komen we in contact met een plek van rust binnen in ons die ons de kracht geeft om anderen te vergeven, boosheid te overwinnen en kalm te blijven.
