Spiritual Discourse: “Blueprint for a Life Well Lived”

January 20, 2019

On Sundays at the International Meditation Center in Lisle, Illinois, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj gives a major address. This always attracts a large crowd. On January 20, he spoke on the importance of leading caring lives of loving kindness. He said in serving each other and bringing joy and happiness to others’ lives, we not only help others, but we contribute to elevating the atmosphere around us. We are accountable for our thoughts, words and deeds, and should be careful to treat others in the way in which we would like to be treated. He continued, God has been very kind in giving us this human birth, and we should make the most of our time here on earth. Above all, we should realize we are not the body; our true existence is at the level of the soul. We need to sit in silence in meditation so that our soul can embark on the inner spiritual journey. It is this sacred voyage that will culminate in the merger of our soul in God – the purpose for which we are all here.
