Bathe in God’s Light through Meditation

November 14, 2020

As many around the world celebrate Diwali, the festival of lights, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj spoke today on the festival’s spiritual significance and how we can live the spirit of Diwali every day of our lives.

Diwali is celebrated with the lighting of candles and fireworks, which dispel the outer darkness. It is a reminder of the inner light that we all carry within, he said. We have unlimited treasures of divinity within us. When we focus within through the process of meditation, we can partake of these treasures. As we do so, we learn to break through the dark clouds of outer turmoil that arise from the ups and downs of life and enter the realm of eternal sunshine, wherein we bask in God’s light, beauty, and bliss.

Sant Rajinder Singh Ji said we can connect with this divinity every day and at any time of day. We can let the love of God permeate our being such that our life becomes a continuous celebration of Diwali. Our mornings become fragrant with God’s love, and our evenings become bathed in God’s light. We undergo a transformation wherein hope replaces despair, optimism replaces pessimism, faith replaces fear, and light replaces darkness. This is the true message of Diwali.
