30th Global Conference on Mysticism
As part of the current Global Conference on Mysticism, thousands from India and around the world gathered at Kirpal Bagh in Delhi to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sant Darshan Singh Ji Maharaj (1921-1989). The centerpiece of the evening was a seminar: Darshan – An Ocean of Infinite Love and Compassion,” presided over by Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj.
Opening the seminar, the spiritual Master recalled how everyone who met the poet-saint, Sant Darshan Singh Ji, felt he loved them most. Expounding upon one of his poetic verses, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji spoke on the true purpose of human life, which is self- and God-realization, and the need to take meaningful steps toward attaining that goal.
Through his poetry and teachings, Sant Darshan Singh Ji reminded seekers that God is not distant. Time and space cannot separate us from God because God already resides within each one of us. Human birth is a precious gift through which we have been given the faculties necessary to know God and return to our Source. What is required is to withdraw our attention from the world outside and turn it within through meditation so that we may see, feel, and experience the Divine for ourselves.
The desire to bring people in contact with the divine love lying dormant within them carried Sant Darshan Singh Ji around the world. During his lifetime, he undertook four world tours, sharing the spiritual teachings with seekers across countries and cultures.
Sant Rajinder Singh Ji encouraged everyone to live up to Sant Darshan Singh Ji’s teachings and devote as much time as possible to meditation, with the goal of merging our soul with God in this very lifetime.
