Finding Your True Purpose

Unraveling Life’s Great Mysteries
Who am I? Why am I here? Is there a meaning and purpose to my life? At some point in our lives, we awaken to the ephemeral and fleeting nature of life, and the realization dawns upon us that there must be more to life than amassing name, fame and power. It is then that the deeper questions of life find us. As we ponder over the purpose of our existence, we embark on what is known as the spiritual quest, in search of answers to life’s great mysteries, and our true purpose here on earth.
There is a purpose to our human lives. We are here to know ourselves, to know God and to have love for all.
We were sent here to realize our true nature as soul, and to find our way back to God. Living at the level of our physical senses, we take ourselves to be the physical body and mind. When we see ourselves in this manner, we say that we are a mind and body that “have a soul.” Thus, our activities all day long, are focused on nurturing and providing for the body.
Meditation is a Way to Find Our True Purpose
The still reflecting pool in which we can see who we really are is the stillness of meditation, a practical method in which we can discover our true self as soul and embark on the spiritual journey.
In meditation, we still our body and mind, and we invert our attention from the outer world to focus it within ourselves.
We connect with the Light and Sound of God, a divine current emanating from God that reverberates within every human being. Contact with this current leads the soul back to it source, God.
Through meditation, we dive into the ocean of God, and tap into the riches that lie within us. We experience a profound transformation that can enrich all areas of our life—personal relations; physical, mental, and emotional health; professional work; spiritual growth; and the attainment of our life’s goals. This transformation not only brings peace and joy to our lives, but can also contribute to a peaceful, loving world.
