The ocean of spiritual consciousness is an ocean of love. It is hard for us to understand this, because we as human beings think of love in a limited and narrow sense. The love we think of as love is but a reflection of a much higher love, a divine love. It is an all-embracing, fulfilling, satisfying love that pulls close to its heart all that exists.
Pain and suffering are an inevitable part of our spiritual journey. It may come as the catalyst for our spiritual life. It may occur along the way of our spiritual journey. It may come as a way to keep us focused on praying to God for help. It may serve as a reminder that the only true happiness is in that of the spirit.
As we journey within through meditation, we realize that God is all Light. We realize that as soul we are also a ray of the same divine Light. We begin to see that the same Light of God which is within us is also in all other beings in creation.
We acknowledge the existence of a soul, but few actually tap into it and identify with it. The soul within us is our true place of power and contains the powerful force that not only nourishes us physically and mentally, but can propel us from the gravitational pull of this physical world and catapult us into the beyond.
Few realize that contentment and peace are ours for the asking. They are already inside us. If we can be still and tap within, we will find riches far greater than any available on earth. We do not need to exert to find them.
We all know that when we want to study something in this world we go to a teacher who is proficient in that subject. If we want to learn physics or chemistry we go to a teacher or a professor. The teacher will explain the theory of the subject. If the basics are clear, then we can build our whole knowledge on those strong fundamentals. The same is true of spirituality.
