Global spiritual leaders gather to promote meditation, peace, and unity among all people

New Delhi, India | March 2026 — Scores of thousands from across India and around the world gathered at Kirpal Bagh in New Delhi for the 37th International Human Unity Conference, an annual gathering that brings together religious leaders, civic representatives, and delegates from around the world to promote harmony, peace, and unity beyond the outer distinctions of faith, culture, or nationality. The two-day event was presided over by Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj, world-renowned spiritual Master and head of Science of Spirituality.

Meditation and Inner Experience Highlighted in Opening Session

The inaugural session on February 28 featured a seminar titled “Meditation – the Key to a Blissful Life.” In his presidential address, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj reflected on the origins of the conference, recalling how Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj initiated gatherings to bring followers of diverse faiths together on a common platform. This vision later evolved into the first Unity of Man Conference in 1974, which has since grown into the International Human Unity Conference. He shared that the purpose of the conference is to help humanity recognize that we are all children of one Creator and members of one human family. Sant Rajinder Singh Ji explained that true peace and unity arise when individuals experience the Divine within through meditation, connecting with the Light and love of God. Such inner realization transforms the heart and naturally leads to love and harmony among all people.

Following the address, religious leaders from multiple traditions shared reflections on the conference theme. One speaker referred to Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj as a “Vishvaguru,” (a spiritual Master for the world) noting that his message of meditation and love has the potential to bring peace to a troubled world.

At the conclusion of the seminar, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj was presented with the “Vishva Manav Ekta Ratna Samman” (World Human Unity Jewel Award) in recognition of his lifelong efforts to promote unity and peace.

Tribute to Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj

The conference’s concluding session on March 1 also commemorated the 132nd birth anniversary of Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj (1894–1974), widely known as the Father of the Human Unity Movement. A special seminar titled “Kirpal – the Lighthouse of Spirituality” paid tribute to his life and mission of spreading the message of spirituality across India and the Western world.

Service to Humanity

Humanitarian service activities were also held during the conference. The 21st Clothes Distribution Camp provided more than 6,500 garments to over 2,000 adults and children, while the 66th Blood Donation Camp collected 284 units of blood, reflecting the conference’s spirit of selfless service.
