Keep On Keeping On

This evening, at the SOS International Meditation Center in Lisle, Illinois, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj responded to spiritual questions. When asked how we can hold onto faith when life’s challenges feel overwhelming, he acknowledged the reality of human suffering. There are times, he said, when illness, emotional pain, relationship struggles, or other hardships may feel overwhelming. In such moments, we should do everything we can to address the difficulties before us, seeking help, guidance, and solutions wherever they may be found. Yet when, despite our best efforts, the burden still remains, we must learn to draw upon a deeper source of strength.

Throughout history, humanity has endured war, famine, displacement, and countless hardships, yet people have continued to persevere. The source of this resilience, the spiritual Master explained, lies within. The saints tell us that a tremendous Power resides in every human being because God is within each of us. Whether we recognize it as such or not, this Power is always present, waiting to be accessed. Meditation, he explained, is the means by which we connect with it.

When the outer world offers no answers and external circumstances seem unable to provide relief, we need to turn within. As we learn to draw upon this inner source, we gain the courage, resilience, and clarity needed to face whatever life places before us.

No matter what our circumstance, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji said we should never give up hope. We must keep at it, trusting that with perseverance, time, and grace, our circumstances can improve. The spiritual path is one of positivity and hope. Whatever challenges we may face today, we should hold firmly to the conviction that things can and will get better. When we live with this principle and continue to put forth sincere effort in that direction, we find the strength to navigate life’s difficulties and move steadily toward our goal.
